NDIS complaints process
If you would like to provide feedback about an experience you have had in dealing with the NDIA or if you don’t agree with a decision about your plan there are a number of ways you can make a complaint or provide feedback.
Alternative support and services
If the NDIA determines that your supports would be best delivered by other supports and services provided by government and the community sector, the NDIS has included a list of organisations who may be able to assist you with support.
Quality and Safeguards Commission
The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission is an independent agency established to improve the quality and safety of NDIS supports and services. It regulates NDIS providers, provides national consistency, promotes safe and quality services, resolves problems and identifies areas for improvement, including provider complaints.
Incident Management Systems - NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission’s Incident Management System provides detailed guidance for registered NDIS providers about your requirements when recording and managing incidents that occur when you are providing supports or services to people with disability.
NDIS legislation
Access NDIS legislation, which outlines the laws and regulations which govern the NDIS to ensure the scheme operates effectively to support Australians with disability.
Carer Gateway
An Australian government program which provides services and support to carers free of charge.
Advocacy services
There are a number of different disability advocates and programs, which promote, protect, uphold and defend the human rights and wellbeing of people with disability as well as their families and carers.
Homelessness services
Entrypoint Perth is a service which supports people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless in Western Australia.
Crisis Care is an after-hours response service to report concerns for a child’s safety and wellbeing. This service also provides information and referrals for people experiencing crisis.
Centrelink
For all social security payments and services, Centrelink helps people with disability and their carers.
Health and Disability Services Complaints Office (HADSCO)
The HADSCO is an independent Statutory Authority which provides a impartial resolution service. Complaints can be made to the HADSCO regarding services for health, disability and mental health in Western Australia.
Ombudsman Western Australia
The Western Australian Ombudsman receives, investigates and resolves complaints about State Government agencies, local governments and universities as well as a range of other functions.
