Hi, I am Lara.

JP Trusted Advisor - Support Coordinator

I have always been guided towards roles where I can support others, driven by a strong sense of justice, which has led me to work in various sectors where I can help people feel empowered and enable them to take an active role in their decision-making. After working four years in education and five years in senior management positions in child protection and with my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 2022, I made the transition to the disability sector and joined the JP Trusted Advisor team in 2023 as a Support Coordinator.

In my role as Support Coordinator, I have had the opportunity to focus on trauma-informed care and complex case specialisation, while making a meaningful impact on people’s lives. I strive to work with honesty, integrity, kindness and fairness to help support clients, their families and carers, while empowering clients and enabling them to build capacity so they can live their life the way the choose.

I prioritise open communication and building strong, trusting relationships while focussing on a whole-team approach where we create invested, passionate multidisciplinary teams with shared goals and who are committed to reaching the best outcomes for our clients.

One of my guiding principles is summed up in a quote by C.S Lewis “Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.” Integrity and trust are so important - I want JPTA clients to feel valued, supported and empowered to reach their goals.

In my spare time I love to watch the tennis and Formula One, while on the weekends you can usually find me down by the river where I spend time recharging and enjoying time with my family watching them sail.
